This Omnific Cusp is a person’s or a team’s capability of making, doing, or creating certain things, concepts, or ideas in an effective manner which gives a successful, economic and long-lasting result for everyone to implement in their life or career or which supports them.
It is a platform to showcase the talents and also be innovative and interpret thoughts in a modernized way from the traditional setup. Creativity is a skill that can be developed with knowledge, learning discipline, and an exemplary way of thinking. Creativity can be enhanced by exploring, imagining, assuming, experimenting, and synthesizing too.
I strongly believe that creativity starts from school and has no limits till we become old. In school, ample opportunities are provided and the children come out with different ideas which is what I implement at St. Britto’s group of schools.
“Creativity is thinking up new things. Innovation is doing new things.” - Theodore Levitt.

Creative corner in the classroom
The main motto of the creative corner is to create a big, bright learning environment.
It ignites and creates wonders and curiosity in young minds. It also strengthens the child’s confidence, expanding their world of understanding, and ensures the grooming of the child personally, academically, and socially.
At various levels of classes, it makes the child play, explore, and learn and the child can give back to the community. It enables the children to work on a desk and create at random and display. Always having a creative corner space in school, enables them to have one of a kind at home. Nurturing creativity is a healthy sign of a happy individual. A creative corner is one such aesthetic angle of your life and keeps you alive brings unexplored and untapped potential, and makes you live your passion.

Why creativity
is important for students?
Creativity is an essential factor that enables the students to be successful in school life that brings enjoyment and satisfaction that is purposeful in their lives. It can be fostered by encouraging their imagination (out of the box) and by giving projects rather than instructing them.
“Creativity is now as important in education as literacy” - Sir Ken Robinson
It is an art of finding their interests in already existing disciplines (music, drama, art, etc.,) and getting inspired by looking up to role models like creative heroes, famous artists, scientists, musicians, etc.,
Also working in groups - encourages creativity. Creativity is a life - skill.
“Life is a great canvas. Throw all the paint on it” - Danny Kaye
Creativity changes our life by infusing freshness, rejuvenation, and serenity in things that we create for a specific purpose or enjoyment and inner satisfaction. When we enjoy doing something we like, we connect to ourselves, others and share our happiness and build better relationships. It brings the innocence of our childhood. A break from routine, creativity is a sense of new responsibility that increases output.
With creativity we are led towards wonderful opportunities; a feeling of depression melts away because the more we engage, the more our spirits fly high. Each time we embark on new territory, we are traversing a new adventure and new perspective. It is to bring out anyone in their way, especially any addictions that can be thwarted from our lives. The beauty of creativity is, that it kindles the spark within us, and as this prolongs, we feel astounded by what is there within us.
“Creativity is not normality, but has become the paradigm for mental health” - Stephen Mitchell
It adds positivity to life, boosts self-esteem, improves mood, lowers stress and anxiety, and helps to sharpen the mind and think of new ways to combat depression and loneliness. It pulls you out of your niche/ comfort zones. It’s a connectivity that allows us to experience love, peace, understanding, compassion, empathy, and purpose in life.
How do we encourage creativity at St.Britto’s School?
“Creativity is a combination of discipline and a childlike spirit” - Robert Greene
“Creativity is just connecting things” - Steve Jobs
Taking the teaching outside, creating a collaborative layout, provide visual ideas and goals (Mind maps, Venn diagram). Making weekly goal reflection (goals achieved, highlights general mood) inserting GIF or e-mail, stating the next week's goal.
Enliven your virtual classroom - Traditional/remote way does not prosper, for example, an activity named ‘Virtual Scavenger Hunt’, is to take the students for outdoor activities like setting up a vegetable garden, going beyond textbooks, worksheets, and sharing among peer groups.
TED TALKS experts were called for speaking on education, business, science, and technology along with creativity. PODCASTS are about radio programs on the internet and listened to by the people with I pods and hands-on- learning - creating own web site, web designing, practice creative journalism( student can convert video diary into an art journal , combining ideas, notes, and art techniques.
Creativity connects you to yourself, others, and the world and keeps your life alive. It is also tied to physical health and transforms the ‘emptiness’ to ‘full’, ‘aimless’ to a meaningful and worthy life for the future.’
The most “sustainable factor and where you can do the best yourself” is the legacy, anyone / you can leave behind.
“Creativity is a collaboration of a mind connected to other minds” - Austin Kleon
“Creativity is more than just being different… Making the simple, awesomely simple, that’s Creativity” - Charles Mingus
I came to know that creativity at present in college has rejuvenated and strengthened the minds of the children and has made some of them give TED talks and also Podcasts programs and I’m delighted that it is also been given importance in our school.
Testimonial from our student
Hi, I am Roshini with a B.Com degree at New College. I am happy to say that I’m a former student of St. Britto’s MHSS. I studied in school right from childhood. It was a boon for me to grow and learn more, as creativity was the magic spell that brought in more openings in innovation for many students in their lives. Various programs held in our school brought out the talents in me too.
I proved my mettle in college too and it brought me a good name. My interest and strong passion to teach kids made me resort to Montessori training. Now, I’m working as a Montessori teacher in a school, where I have adopted creative ways of teaching students effectively. This has brought me accolades from the parents, who claim that their children are more interested in studies and have improved and performed in exams as well as in extracurricular studies. This has earned me a good name in the school where I’m working for the past three years. I’m thankful for both the educational and all-around development offered at St. Britto’s MHSS.
